This 18-50mm zoom, from RED Digital Cinema, is a nice inexpensive alternative to primes or ENG lenses. This lens gives you the shallow depth of field and sharpness of primes from Cooke or Ziess but with the added ability to zoom.
We have used this lens on our RED ONE camera and with a Pro 35 adapter from P&S Techniks, it is surprisingly crisp and has given us amazing images.
