We chose to carry this innovative tripod system featuring the Sacthler Cine 30 HD head with a side-loading camera plate, rather than the traditional top-down locking mechanism. This provides a simple way to lock the plate into position, with camera attached. The mechanism is also compatible with camera plates from O’Connor and ARRI.
The familiar Sachtler operating elements are all there, pan/tilt locking levers and fluid drag selectors, making this head a breeze to use for anyone familiar with using Sachtler heads and tripods. If you need a front box for all sorts of utensils or tools, it is simple to mount an adapter which is exceptionally practical for film and HD shooting.
Along with the head we carry a set of robust carbon fiber legs, with spikes or spreaders for use on any surface. The legs feature large, easy to use clamps for manipulation from challenging angles or outdoors in inclement weather conditions.
We recommend this system for use with our heavier camera packages, such as the ARRI Alexa or broadcast camera.
