Yes, firewire drives are cheap and available but they are mechanical and they do fail. So, we now offer the option to archive your projects or raw footage right to LTO tape. This provides the most stable, cost effective way to keep all of your footage and know that, if stored properly, it will be safe for decades. It's how we currently archive all of our productions.
