Teaching Middle School Students Concepts in Science

Teaching Middle School Students Concepts in Science

August 23, 2016

What could be more fun than creating a dramatic short film series for middle school kids? Based on our longstanding relationship with the University of California, Berkeley, the school’s Lawrence Hall of Science along with a team from Amplify asked Studio B to produce a series of educational video dramas for a groundbreaking new curriculum to be distributed nation-wide.

Created for middle schoolers, the program is aimed at promoting and encouraging diversity in science fields starting at a young age. Furthermore, the course is an interactive experience that learns and reports on how individual students are absorbing information by integrating with technology and data analytics. By capturing these details, the curriculum can provide more effective instruction techniques, optimizing a teacher’s ability to effectively communicate information.

Each video delves into a different concept in science and is designed to spark deeper discussion. There are thirteen videos in all. Take a look at the above photo for a behind-the-scenes look at one of our UC Berkeley video shoots.
